Yet you support more govt authority over healthcare... to include nationalizing.

How do you reconcile that? This situation will be fixed... and it won't favor any noncompliance.

Results matter.

WTF are you talking about? What results? Some asshole cop acting like Cartman on South Park yelling "RESPECT MY AUTHORITIE! Where it all went wrong was the person on the phone telling Dirty Harry that he was making a big mistake. Take his gun & badge and let him work security at a dying Mall.

The govt already is accumulating info on every citizen. They can wiretap and surveil and grope... etc.

What leads you to believe that your body is off limits? In England the govt is already withholding procedures to smokers and the obese. It's really very naive of you to think that we can give the govt limitless authority and expect therm not to abuse it. It must be nice to be clueless... I mean that sincerely.

And I mean this sincerely: what in the hell does your incoherent rant have to do with the TOPIC?

That if the authorities/govt wants to take blood from you... that's exactly what they'll do.

The reason being... is that useful idiots have no idea wtf is going on or how we got to this point.

Just an fyi. I've never blocked a person before... but you seem to think you're funny or something. You offer no real content... never counter a point with a real argument... or ever seem to have an original thght in your head. It's a total waste to ever open a thread that you've bumped by adding a post to.

Sooo... I'm going to block you now. Take care.

Yeah nutjob we need more govt. authority over healthcare like medicare. A very successful and well run program. Oh and the situation was fixed. The cop and his supervisor were suspended and are facing a criminal investigation.

How's the va and mcaid nursing home care going?

I'm glad if they get slapped... but that doesn't change the fact that the law will certainly be adapted.

It's amazing that our forum nurse failed to weigh in on this topic. Why is that, I wonder?

It's leftists that appeal to authority for any and every given issue... then seem perplexed when authority is abused. Connecting dots is hard. Eh comrades?

She was released without charges but that's no consolation for the ignorant behavior of the cop - who will likely (and should) lose his job.

Agreed... but that doesn't change the fact that the authority to obtain the sample will soon be law.

What should be an examination of overreach... will be diminished into the abuse by a single Barney.

Are you on crack?  Hospital protocol will not change because one creep in Utah overstepped his authority.  He should be fired.

BTW, the patient, who had been involved in an accident while driving a big rig, was a part-time policeman.

Very much like you, smokers are self-destructive addicts. Why waste good money on anyone determined to kill themselves?

Sure... but let's play it out. Out of shape? Poor diet? Alcoholic? Over weight?

For that matter... why should we pay for genetic disorders? Diabetes for instance.

You're too old to give a damn... but this appeal to authority is a slippery slope. Per usual.
