It just gets better and better doesn't it? What a con man. Great infrastructure move. What is he going for, privatization? There were plans in the works to re-establish passenger service from east Florida to New Orleans. Service was not renewed after damage done by Katrina, freight yes, passengers no. We're like a third world country when it comes to our rail service, among other things.

So how long should taxpayers pay for a train system that has lost millions EVERY year since its inception? As I read in the Washington Post - it's a 3rd world train system run like a Soviet Era system.

Eliminating under-utilized, money losing routes is the smart thing to do.
