"Thousands of protesters gathered across America to demand President Donald Trump's administration reunite the divided families. Protestors moved by accounts of children separated from their parents at the U.S.-Mexico border, pmarched Saturday in major cities and tiny towns across the U.S. to demand President Donald Trump's administration reunite the divided families.

More than 700 planned marches are expected to draw hundreds of thousands of people across the country, from immigrant-friendly cities like Los Angeles and New York to conservative Appalachia and Wyoming under the banner Families Belong Together. Thousands dressed in white and gathered early Saturday morning in sweltering 90-degree heat in Lafayette Park across from the White House in what was expected to be the largest of the day's protests.

"What's next? Concentration Camps?" one marcher's sign read. "I care, do you?" read another, referencing a jacket the first lady wore when visiting child migrants amid the global furor over the administration's zero-tolerance policy that forced the separation of more than 2,000 children from their parents. Her jacket had "I really don't care. Do you?" scrawled across the back, and that message has become a rallying cry for Saturday's protesters.

"We care!" marchers shouted outside city hall in Dallas. Organizer Michelle Wentz says opposition to the administration's "barbaric and inhumane" policy has seemed to cross political party lines. Marchers carried signs that read "Compassion not cruelty" and "November is coming."..."

How many new registered voters? group masterbation....it feels good, but the democrats are simply being outsmarted, like Hillary campaigning in Arizona and Georgia while ignoring Wisconsin and Michigan.....their hubris and arrogance has pushed most of their constituency over to the dark side of trump.....the house will NOT be taken back. The Senate will NOT be taken back unless there is a massive effort to get voters registered and to the polls.....marching feels good.....and yelling about what an idiot trump is feels good, but where are the democratic platforms and issues. Tell me how white working poor are going to buy into these protests......they are not. a big fail.

Raise taxes,  more socialist sinkholes, open borders,  gun control, old white candidates... etc. Good luck.

There were a LOT of people registering voters at the protests, and a lot of what they're about are firing up the base to get out and vote.

I don't mind pessimism because it keeps us from getting complacent, but come on. Trump's so fucking hated that even Mississippians are starting to turn on the bastard. I've voted twice in the past couple months, for primaries, and there were as many Democrats signing the "I voted" books as Republicans. I haven't seen that happening in a lonnnnng time.

Trump's economic meddling is already bearing bitter fruit -- Harley D having to farm out overseas, a major nail manufacturer maybe having to close up shop, farmers getting gutted, and on down the line. Trump's followers are slavish, cowardly, lickspittle cultists, but even the most grovelling dog will start crawling away from somebody who kicks it enough, and that's already starting to show signs of happening. I haven't seen a goddamn MAGA hat in public in months.

The racism and xenophobia will be enough to keep the pieces-of-shit on Trump's bandwagon for a while, but his shtick's starting to get old.

Dems do need to do more to come up with a message and not just rely on Trump-hate to take care of it all, but the G.O.P. is fearful even though they're getting a lot of what they want. They realize that even with legislative successes their brand's still in the toilet. Trump's so toxic his personal stench manages to overpower even the things they like.

Dems need the guts to exploit that weakness. Kick your enemy 'til he's down... then slit his goddamned throat. A lot of Dem leadership still wants to be "polite" and not go that far, but the more pressure Trump puts on by ransacking this country and shitting on its reputation, the more they'll be willing to stop playing so nice and giving Republicans a pass on their weakness. Republicans whine and whine and whine about "civility" because they know Dems are soft-hearted and don't want to be "mean," but, fuck that -- being nice to Republicans earns you nothing. When they have a weak spot, stick the shiv in and yank up on that sonofabitch. Get them out of office, because if they keep stacking the judiciary with so many crooks friendly to their gerrymandering, it's gonna be a lot harder later.

Meanwhile, protesting shows the rest of the world that not all Americans are scumbags. We're going to need the good will of the rest of the world when we have to fix all this damage later. Because what Trump is doing is a recipe for destroying America's status completely. He couldn't be doing more to help places like Russia if he just let Putin take over for him.

Meanwhile, as to the credit you were wanting to give him about North Korea... how's THAT turning out?

http://nymag.com/daily/intelligencer/2018/06/north-korea-may-have-ramped-up-nuclear-production.html

President Weakling-Suck-Up-Say-Nice-Things-About-Me-And-I'll-Let-You-Do-Anything predictably fell for the okey-doke and gave Kim a major P.R. victory, got nothing for it, made a fool of himself prematurely announcing that North Korea was now "de-nuclearized," and is still getting played because he's so needy for a "win."

The president is a high-school-girl with no self-esteem getting herded into the back seat by every foreign leader he thinks is "tough." Kim punked him, and later in the month Putin will be peddling him around for cigarettes. It's ridiculous. It'd even be funny to watch, if only it were some country I hated instead of America. Dems need to make it clear that the Republican congress lacks the guts to intervene before the United States gets sold down the river due to one pitifully weak sychopant's needy ego, and they're the only ones who'll keep him in check.

I honestly hate President Trump, but if anybody does not see how he manipulates the media and fuzzy heads to make it all about him.....that is his winning strategy. The Democrats who will win will make it about issues and connect with white voters who are 80% behind most major issues which Trump has F up. Rather, this soft old public outrage is NOT getting voters registered. I do agree that the Illinois and Iowa farmers are piszed. I had a friend who was getting six bucks a bushel for corn a few years ago under President Obama and they are now 3.38 a bushel and dropping. That is almost a drop in half in price, and where is the democratic farm protests? No, a bunch of people playing the fool in the streets alienating the very voters this country needs to vote democratic. Stupid is what stupid does.

60+ million Hispanics. Do you have to practice to be that wrong? It can't be natural.

The American population almost quadrupled during the 20th century—at a growth rate of about 1.3% a year—from about 76 million in 1900 to 281 million in 2000. It is estimated to have reached the 200 million mark in 1967, and the 300 million mark on October 17, 2006.[14][15] Population growth is fastest among minorities as a whole, and according to the Census Bureau's estimation for 2012, 50.4% of American children under the age of 1 belonged to racial and ethnic minority groups.[16] According to Pew Research Center study released in 2018, by 2040, Islam will surpass Judaism to become the second largest religion in the US due to higher immigration and birth rates.[17]

Hispanic and Latino Americans accounted for 48% of the national population growth of 2.9 million between July 1, 2005, and July 1, 2006.[18] Immigrants and their U.S.-born descendants are expected to provide most of the U.S. population gains in the decades ahead.[19]

So what? What's your point? Why don't you just come out and say it?

What's the matter, too gutless to just come out and say it, you racist piece-of-shit!
