But when you take even those two seconds, you are legitimizing him as a contributor here and demonstrating that you're reading and paying attention to that spam.   Why should we even give him the satisfaction?   And wouldn't completely ignoring him send a more valid message, i.e., that his posts aren't worth the "paper they're written on" and so outrageously ridiculous that you aren't going to waste time even commenting on them?  Seriously.
