I like Jesse and respect him for his prior service but anyone who can't find area 51 and does a special report from area 50 because it's close to 51 should not get in front of a TV camera.

After the Navy Seal decked him at a funeral for another Seal for making obnoxious remarks....didn't he say he was moving to Mexico and becoming a citizen renouncing his American citizenship?...'nutjob' indeed....

Amazing how a total fabrication gets planted in weak peoples brains and they believe it with all their hearts....No seal ever struck Jessie. The powers that be have you all wrapped right around their fingers. You will be the snitches and those that rat out their neighbors because you think you got it all figured out. You guys will be the ones sucking up to the new world order big time...may god have mercy on your fluoridated minds.

Even if that other dude did punch his lights out, there's not a snowball's chance I would ever challenge any pro wrestler to a fistfight. When I was 16 I tried that once when I was at the WEAR TV studios and Lynn Toney was the referree. That wrastler almost came out of the ring into the stands and I shit my pants and sat back down.
But I'd be willing to debate Ventura or any other wrastler with half my brain tied behind my back (to use limbaugh's words). So long as they were chained down anyway.

Very few wrastlers go on to become State Governors. Jessie is a very complex person .

What do you think about the beginning of the segment when he says emphatically "religion is the cause of all wars" and then equally emphatically "I'm an atheist"?
That's not really someone you want to have as a source of information is it?

You have said similar things Bob and I still listen to you. About as often as I pay attention to Jessie.

It's probably a nitpicky point to some but since it's not to me let me be just as emphatic as Ventura that I AM NOT an "athiest" in any way, shape or form.
I believe with all my heart and soul that there is something so much bigger and smarter than me which is responsible for the existence of everything there is. The only way I differ on that with you and so many others is that I don't believe any of us are smart enough to ever be able to comprehend what that something is.
Just want that to be clear. I actually loathe the label "athiest" as much as I loathe the labels "liberal" and "conservative". I think all three are doing more to set back human communication than just about any other words in the english language.

And as I've told you several times before, whatever that something is I pray to it regularly. Athiests don't do that.
My religion actually has a prayer ritual just like so many other religions. It involves making a prayer and then throwing a coin to a place it won't be found and spent. That is confirmation for me that the prayer will be answered.
So far my daily (sometimes multi-daily) prayer has been to pray that the unknown will "protect me, my family, my friends, our health and our happiness". And so far my prayers have been answered. Whatever is out there in that great unknown must be looking out for me. And if not and it's all in my imagination what they hell that's okay too.

Your evidence for not being an atheist is underwhelming. So you believe in the force....maybe you can be a Jedi.

Your evidence for not being an atheist is underwhelming.

That's only because you and so many others are so convinced that your religion is the only one anyone can ever take seriously.

So you believe in the force....maybe you can be a Jedi.

Actually that's just about as polar opposite of what I believe as anything I've ever been accused of.
"The Force" is a human concept conceived only in the human mind which has human-like aspects to it. And exactly the same holds true for a "Jedi".
We have a total understanding of "The Force" and the "Jedi" because it was we humans who invented it.

The whole basis of my religion is that no human concept can ever describe whatever is responsible for the nature of all existence. Which would of course include a "Farce" er excuse me I meant a "Force".
We simply do not have the capacity to be able to do that and that is the most fundamental description and definition of what my religious belief is.

So you believe in the great anthropomorphous something....?

Wait it's less than that it's the great amorphous Something

No, amorphous or anthropomorphous has no relevance to it.

There is another word which correctly describes it though. And it's a very simple concept that I think we can all grasp...

unknown

   [uhn-nohn]
adjective
1.
not known; not within the range of one's knowledge, experience, or understanding
______________

and maybe even this word too (dunno for certain)...

unknowable
adj
1. incapable of being known or understood
2.
a. beyond human understanding

Oh you are like the Athenians Paul spoke too...Why didn't you say so ?

22 Paul then stood up in the meeting of the Areopagus and said: “People of Athens! I see that in every way you are very religious. 23 For as I walked around and looked carefully at your objects of worship, I even found an altar with this inscription: to an unknown god. So you are ignorant of the very thing you worship—and this is what I am going to proclaim to you.
24 “The God who made the world and everything in it is the Lord of heaven and earth and does not live in temples built by human hands. 25 And
he is not served by human hands, as if he needed anything. Rather, he
himself gives everyone life and breath and everything else. 26 From
one man he made all the nations, that they should inhabit the whole
earth; and he marked out their appointed times in history and the
boundaries of their lands. 27 God did this so that they would seek him and perhaps reach out for him and find him, though he is not far from any one of us. 28 ‘For in him we live and move and have our being.’[b] As some of your own poets have said, ‘We are his offspring.’[c]

And don't worry, just because something is "unknown" does not mean it cannot or does not exist.
Neither Jesus nor Mohammed nor any other messiah or prophet ever told us about the existence of electricity or galaxies or medical science or spaceships or about 99.9% of what we know exists today. But that didn't keep it from existing.

"I even found an altar with this inscription: to an unknown god."

Actually since the first day many years ago that I began articulating my religion on another internet message board, I made mention of the "unknown god" referred to in the Holy Bible as one of the three precursors to the religion I conceived for myself. The other two were concepts found in the Plato's "Apology" and in the work of Douglas Adams (Hitchhiker's Guide). At least those are the ones I'm aware of.
And I know I must have mentioned that about a half dozen times when trying to convey what my religion is on the PNJ forum.
So I did "say so". Many times. You apparently just missed it.

But since you were not aware of this that was a very astute observation on your part. I'm extremely impressed.

Bob you said you were a Sultanist...whatever that is..actually in the past I paid attention and you were always in the Agnostic / Atheist camp during our broad discussions...

The name derives from a nickname I picked up many years ago... "The Sultan of Cheap".
So when I began to put my religion into words on that internet board (it was a religion and philosophy themed message board), it was natural to call it "Sultanism". And I chose the username "Sultanist" which I still use on that board today.

If others put me in the "atheist/agnostic" camp it's none of my doing. I have no control over any of the labels I receive.

By the way, I was immediately told that the term "Sultanism" had already been spoken for. And they were right if you search it on wiki you'll find the other Sultanism. But I told them then that I didn't care because whatever that other Sultanism was just sounded like a bunch of political horseshit to me anyway.

Okay Bob I will put you down as a believer in the unknown unknowable undefinable ungod.

Yes the truth is that I alone am the whole congregation for Sultanism.
But that's not necessarily a bad thing. I'm not on tv and radio begging for money and telling the rest in my congregation that if they don't send in the money they'll be burnin in hell (not that I wouldn't consider doing that but when I'm the only one in the congregation I'd have to dig in my own pocket to send me the money). I'm not building any massive monuments to worship in. I'm not starting wars over my religion being better than your religion. There will never be any need to write a Constitution to protect a country from my religion. I'm not strapping bombs on my back to blow up people to get a bunch of virgins in heaven (I would consider that too if I was younger but now there'd need to be a Walgreens selling Viagra in heaven for that to apply to me). I'm not predicting that the unknown will steer hurricanes to wherever unbelievers live. I'm not up in a big tree house telling the world that the unknown will rub me out if I don't get money mailed to me like Oral Roberts.
And I'm not trying to be the conscience to Sarah Palin or George Bush or Barack Obama or Mitt Romney. Nor am I a thousand other things that I can't throw off the top of my head in this post.

Every other religion has millions in their congregations including the one which has two A list movie stars in the congregation and that religion was conceived because of a barroom bet by a science fiction writer.
But my religion has only me and it aint never done no harm to one soul.
Go figure.

Oh and in my religion you can eat all the Sonny's pulled pork you want.
And you can eat a chick-fil-a sandwich on Sunday (but you'll have to make it yourself).
What's not to like.
