I find it hard to believe that this wasn't a horrible and monumental fuckup.

The stakes are just so high.

That having been said, if they can prove that this was done intentionally, then bring on the prosecutions and take it as high as it can go.

The people who work for Médecins Sans Frontières are true heroes.

I donate to their organization with regularity.

I wouldn't be surprised if they're letting Afghani commanders call in the targets & the US planes are just delivering the ordnance.

It could very well be some Afghani officer called in this strike.
