I can honestly say I have never used marijuana in my life. None of my peers or friends in high school were stoners (I graduated in 1970). Now, there was a wave just behind me, because my two brothers and all of their friends were all stoners. It seems like everyone at my high school a year after my class left were into it.

By 1972, I was already committed to a commissioning program in the Marine Corps, and I knew I had to keep my nose clean, so I continued to steer clear of illegal drugs. Once on active duty, I was the Substance Abuse Control Officer (SACO) in a couple of units, and in 1980, I helped NIS set up a bust to catch a major dope-dealer in the infantry battalion I was with. The kid got 15 years at Ft. Leavenworth at his court marshal.

If it were legalized, I cannot say whether I would try it or not. If either full or medical legalization makes its way to the Florida ballot, I will vote "Yes."

I'll try it once just to see what it's like.
I hope it doesn't make me go insane like Bill O'Reilly says.  But in my case nobody could tell the difference anyway. But then neither could they with Bill O'Reilly either. lol

I'll tell you what, those talking heads have me convinced they must have put a tube of glue in a big baggie and tied it around their heads.

A study just came out today by a group of doctor's experimenting using marijuana  to break opiate addiction. It worked.

There are downloadable petition's to get it on the ballot:

www.regulateflorida.com   legalization like alcohol

There is also a FB group "Southern Veterans for Cannabis"

Well I'm going to quit if it's legal. Takes half the fun out of it. It's amazing how progressive prohibitions take hold.

I guess you can look at gun control for a clue. Using govt to enforce controls on people that cause no harm.
