Remember during the last republican debate when Megyn Kelly asked the candidates if they got messages direct from God?

SOMEBODY TELL ME WHY THAT IS OF ANY POLITICAL IMPORTANCE WHATSOEVER!

Laughable that the very thing that brought people to subdue and settle this country was the freedom to worship has they pleased. Now it's a character flaw.  Godless communists really are a bore.

There's nothing unique or original about the way this nation came into existence. What was special was the ideals.

No nation was an immaculate conception or perfect... certainly none of your socialist utopias comrade.

If someone attacks you with a knife dressed in buckskins and war paint and you have a gun are you not going to shoot because you are in a strange land and you don't understand their customs ?  Language and weapons disparity did cause a lot of senseless slaughter. I do remember it was Lincolns generals that had the final solution for the Indian problem. Anyway faith real or false has helped a lot of people make it through hardship.  Never discount quantum theory karma or the spirit or whatever name you give it.

I think Kasich is the one candidate in both parties whose religious beliefs have guided him to make government more efficient and serve citizens.  He takes heat for helping the least among us while fighting waste.  I would say his religious beliefs are an asset for America and his character is not flawed but one which many should emulate.  I have seen much more good from christians at the local level helping their fellow man than the hypocrites who run for office and wear religion on their sleeves to garnish votes.  Ted Cruz and Huckabee are prime examples of the same.  I find their character to be despicable, and are exactly what Jesus warned us in Matthew 6.
