Gee with the former superintendent of schools as his education secretary, and with him working on Chicago school reforms for 20 years, I doubt the President is going to do anything which will not help the grim situation. If you think that the president should have said the teachers are wrong.......what exactly would that have done? The problems remain, and unless you think the solution is the president pouring more money into the schools......then it is a local issue which needs local solutions. I do not want more federal money pouring into Chicago, or presidential bs politics. I think the people of Chicago have some tough choices, and teachers are going to have to make sacrifices......the strike was an incredible bad choice.
