Sounds like the learned professor would have us "dumb down" our kids so as to eliminate the "unfair advantage" obtained by reading to them. Poppycock.

As the article points out - the Baltimore mother who chased and called out her son is also guilty of providing an unfair privilege - the privilege of a caring mother.
