A Pace woman is charged with child abuse after Escambia County deputies say she forced her son to beg for money.

Thirty-four year old Jaime Spicer was arrested at the corner of Davis Highway and Olive Road. Deputies say she was sitting nearby while her son stood near the road with a sign that said "Homeless, please help."

Spicer is being held without bond. Her son is now in his father's custody.
