Sounds like he will be.

From what I've heard it's likely that he'll be busted down to PFC, be given a less than honorable discharge, and lose all of his back pay, bonuses, and benefits.

And, that's the last you'll hear from Bowe Bergdahl.

Racist Wordslinger is compelled to point out that he is such a great white guy that he supports a black president.  In SPITE of semi-retired President Obama's failings.

The minute Bergdahl walked off the post, he was no longer a soldier.  Bergdahl's cowardice cost the lives of REAL SOLDIERS and HEROS.

For this we gave up the worst of the worst terrorists being held at the necessary GITMO prison as ransom for a traitor.

Those terrorists were going to be released anyway so it was a good decision.

Semi-retired President Obama makes the world more dangerous every day and with every release of high profile, worst of the worst terrorists.

And Progressives think this is a good idea as the Middle East is on fire!

So, that's your finishing touch, Markle? FOX NEWS LIED. THE MILITARY TALKING HEAD APPARENTLY LIED AS WELL.

Bergdahl's fate is in the hands of the Army. That's how these things are handled and the reason we have military courts.

Mr. Markle showing the world on fire with President Obama sitting by the burning Globe is just the opposite of factual reality......deaths from war have plummeted, and the world has never been safer as diplomacy rather than guns and wars are resolving conflicts. The death toll in the middle east is well below the deaths by guns in America, and the world historically is seeing a trend to less and less loss of life from war......Fact Mr. Markle that your propaganda is nothing more than wishful thinking.

Semi-retarded poster Markle wishes the world was on fire, because it would give him fuel for more of his silly posts about our president. Why do these wingnuts want our country to fail so badly when their political opponents are in power?

It matters not whether the world is on fire or not since Mr. Markle just makes sh*^%t up anyway!

Before his return nobody was sure of his mental state. And yes, I do support the effort made to gain his release. Like I said, he was an American soldier and he had been captured. Leaving him in the hands of our enemy when an opportunity to gain his release developed, would have been un-American and clearly a morale depressant for all the other American's serving in Afghanistan. But it's clear these are issues of integrity and loyalty you fail to comprehend.

You do not leave soldiers captive to the enemy.

And, despite semi-lucid poster Markle's protestations, prisoner swaps are common at the end of hostilities.

As you well know, Berghdahl deserted. He intentionally deserted his fellow soldiers and cost SIX of them their lives in their search for him. FIVE terrorists, hand picked by...al Qaeda were traded for him.

Sal said it all, AT THE END OF HOSTILITIES. We are NOT at the end of hostilities, we are moving more and more troops into Iraq where semi-retired President Obama REFUSED to listen to even his own advisors.

Floridatexan, keep posted, CHARGES WILL be brought against Berghdal. The penalties for desertion include execution. Semi-retired President Obama is unquestionably fighting this tooth and nail.

I'm curious how the White House Spin Meisters will dress this up for his followers. Oh...right...they won't care and will call it all lies.

The only spin-meister on this thread is semi-psychotic poster Markle. Bergdhal has to first be proved as a deserter.... And the last time a U.S. soldier was executed for desertion was? Keep spinning away Markle; this forum would not be so entertaining without your comedy!

No surprise, whatsoever that my socialist/communist good friend Wordslinger and his comrades believe a deserter is worthy of SIX other soldiers being killed while searching for him. They also believe that handing over FIVE top level terrorists is a fair price for a deserter.

It is NOT.

The issue of this forum thread, which Semi-sane Markle, as usual, is unable to attend, is that Obama failed in this case by okaying negotiations that might achieve the release from captivity of an American military prisoner of war.  At the time, whether Bergdahl's actions contributed to his own capture was speculative.  In fact, until he is charged and found guilty by a courts-martial, Bergdahl's actions still are.

Semi-sane Markle would no doubt like to head a jury that would decide which American captives should be bargained for and which should be left in enemy hands.

It's good to know your enemies.
