Their first mistake was thinking Obama cares about anything except protecting his party. And golfing.

"Latinos furious at Obama on immigration delay, vow more pressure"
BY JULIA EDWARDS

(Reuters) - Hispanic lawmakers and immigration advocates harshly criticized President Barack Obama's decision to delay executive action on immigration and vowed to keep pressuring him to make bold changes.

Democratic Representatives Luis Gutierrez and Tony Cardenas on Sunday accused Obama of playing politics the day after the president said he would wait until after November's congressional elections to change policy on immigration.

The announcement marked a reversal for Obama, who publicly promised to act by the end of summer.

"Playing it safe might win an election," Gutierrez said on ABC's "This Week" program. "But it almost never leads to fairness, to justice and to good public policy that you can be proud of."

Senate Democrats at risk of losing their seats in the November elections pressed the White House to hold off an executive order."

Personally, I think Obama making this announcement was a horrible lapse in political judgement . . . . . . a majority of Americans recognize and appreciate the need for immigration reform implemented properly. What they do not like or appreciate is putting off what seems to be a decision already made but not executed . . . . . either it is the right thing to do or it is not. Playing politics with the Latino community is more than a risky game especially when he has rightfully earned the name among Hispanics as Deporter-In-Chief and now putting off the inevitable.

Hardly. The answer is simple. Almost every political analyst felt that the Senate would go Republican by at least three seats. Something stunning is happening all across the country. The governor races where incumbent Republicans were thought to have a cakewalk are losing. In Senate races where 5 sure thing Republican wins were going to happen have become toss up races. If the Senate can be maintained by the Democrats, this means the senate immigration bill can be passed in the new congress and it will put incredible pressure on the house leadership to release the bill to the floor. Hispanic leaders understand the shift which has happened, and unless somebody is listening to talking heads who do not understand, they will continue to give 100% support to the president. This is a smart move. It is of course a political move, but its intention is to see an upset from the predictions of the midterms. It is stunning looking at midterm polls.

Apparently simple minded people are easily "stunned". Can you read? The article mentioned several HISPANIC LEADERS who think otherwise from your twisted view.
