The retired general warned Wednesday that the political conditions now in Iraq mean that military intervention would falter because both sides would perceive the United States as favoring one religious faction against another rather than as squashing terrorism alone.

Like some kind of primitive culture who watches the wind blow and how the leaves react, some on this forum claim to be the medicine man with special interpretative powers to declare that wars are won and gains are made......but in the end there is little rational thought, and in the case of some posters, intentional purveyance of pure propaganda which is intended to distort and provide proof that the wind is blowing, the leaves are moving, and the medicine man is right.

Now the attacks will begin on the General, who was being cited by our resident medicine men as the all knowing who simply had everything GAINED lost by the President.....you could not rent this movie and have more fun.

The President made it clear this afternoon that the occupation of Iraq is over and ground troops will not return to combat. The General and the President understand that the Iraqi people must figure this out without the Military Industrial complex banging the war drums and arguing the wheels of the President are falling off.......nothing could be further from the truth. This President is showing a depth of leadership and courage that few before him could measure. Fortunately for him the crazies have been so off the wall with the false scandals and birth certificate type lunacy, that most Americans could not agree more with the General's and the President's position.......the shrill screams of our shills will begin in earnest as this year advances and all American troops find their way home from wrongful occupations.

All the President has ever had to say was "NO". The lunacy will end.

Now we have a situation of unimaginable chaos, killing and ruthless war.

I am ecstatic that the illusion of our occupation creating instant coffee democracy has ended, and the people of Iraq can find their own way. The horrors you see have no more to do with the President than you making a big stinky dump in the toilet and I flush your mess down, and you blame me for the same. Did you read the phrase "PHYSICAL CONDITIONS NOW IN IRAQ".

This is the result of the policies and doctrines of President Barack Hussein Obama. Which, as you well know, is exactly what we, the realists in our country, said was going to happen in 2011 when President Obama announced this bound to fail policy.

The bound to fail policy was not put in place in 2011, it was put in place in 2002-2003, and like a group of terrorist who break into the cockpit and steers the hijacked plane into the ground, your logic argues that the passengers are at fault because they did not rally and pull the plane from its inevitable dive and crash as the passengers said "lets roll", Mr. Markle sitting in his Monday morning QB chair argues......well it really was the failure of the passengers which caused the plane crash, and the "lets roll" effort was a complete failure and caused the plane to crash.......everything was stable before the plane hit the ground.....we had won........and those damn passengers crashed the plane.....carry on Mr. Markle......but I hear Nexium is now available over the counter.....and my guess is that you and your handlers need to start chewing on those purple pills....upset stomachs have just began. Further down in that article, it talks about those GOP politicians who now have second thoughts over support for further military action in Iraq.

Where we failed in choosing to go into Iraq in the first place, is we thought that with our salesmanship and voodoo dollars, we could improvise a democracy that would moderate the animosity, suspicion, and hatred between the three biggest tribal factions.

What Dubya fashioned was a totally unworkable solution.

Our efforts were doomed before we started and the Iraqis now are the same Iraqis we thought we would democratize with our guns, goods and dollars.

Under Dubya and Obama, what we've benefited from the loss of so much treasure and blood in Iraq, is zero. Nada. Zip.

At least Obama got us out of the unwinnable conflict Dubya lied us into.

BTW, reported on NBC nightly news last night with Brian Williams...a report from Richard Engle re the American "advisors" being sent to Iraq...Iran already has advisors of its own on the ground there. Haven't heard this anywhere else. Iran v US advisors. What next?

SF will enter to assist Iraqis on determining enemy targets, however, the soldiers will not be eligible for dangerous/combat pay.
