It's important to eliminate ISIS along with the weapons we provided.

If the Iraqi Army doesn't start fighting there is really nothing we can do except endanger U.S. advisers and embassy personnel.. The biggest problem is PM Maliki - he needs to resign.

So you think that by replacing Maliki with someone else will work? The Sunnis won't be happy unless they get one of their own in power and with the Shia being a the majority of voters in Iraq, that AIN'T happening. The Sunni are still mad that Saddam is gone and their grip on power has been broken.

And that is where Maliki has failed - by diminishing Sunni participation in his government. Of course the way things are going ISIS (Sunni's by the way) might not need an election.

Sunni participation is less because they are not the majority of the Iraqi population. There was an actual vote you know....

So we're gonna fight again to defend the Shia's, the ones who wish to import their Tribal Law into our system?

Lovely.

Hopefully there is an extraction plan in place.

As far as special forces advising Iraq military and following ambassador orders, it won't work. It will just create loss of military lives.

Do the job to prep for Predator drone strikes and air strikes, eliminate the enemy.

No more Preds left, even the reserve units are flying Reapers....bigger, badder and far more lethal.

THe Sunni's make up the main body of Islamic fundamentalists terror groups.

ISIS needs to be stopped before they reach the Embassy.....or it will become a prison trapping our personnel.

Last night ISIS shot down an Iraqi plane with one of our stolen Stingers. They are well armed, trained, and funded ......they will not stop.

Iraq is 60% Shia and 40% Sunni

It's a little more complicated since Kurds identify as either Sunni or Shia but feel isolated as a people and a small percentage of Iraqi's are Christian.

Don't take the fun out of over simplification of a complex issue.

Kurds are mostly Sunni in belief.

Over time, Sunni Islam became the dominant religion of the Kurdish people, following the Shafi school. There is a minority Shia population, the Fayli Kurds, who live in central and south eastern Iraq.[

The Sunnis are funded by Saudi Arabia. The Shias are funded by Iran.

Washington is currently negotiating to join with Iran to fight the Sunnis.

Who wants to predict where this is all going?

When you copy and paste from Wikipedia, you are supposed to delete the brackets so people won't think you are plagiarizing.

You almost had me fooled...... Being that you have "been there" and all....

W landed on that ship and everything.

The banner signified the successful completion of the "Abraham Lincoln's deployment," Cmdr. Chun continued noting that the Abraham Lincoln was deployed 290 days, longer than any other nuclear-powered aircraft carrier in history.  Geez......they flew over 16,000 sorties.....damn fine job.

Yea, that slant is kinda funny, the banner was directed to the families and was placed by the ship - whose crew was completing an incredibly difficult cruise (mission). Anyone who listened to or read the text of the speech would know Bush stated an "end to major combat operations", not an end of the conflict. But why would some people even attempt to get the facts straight? LOL.

My Bad
so it was just like John Stewart said "A" Mission Accomplished not "The" Mission Accomplished.
Why didn't Conglomerate media, fox, play it that way?

Aren't they Sunni?

How can they be our ally and support ISIS?
