Its amusing that the gov and the left love to broad brush groups of people but they certainly don't like it when its groups of people that vote for them.

Anyhow, just talked to a friend of mine still at Nellis and he said this was the Wal Mart just outside the front gate of Nellis AFB. It is a rough neighborhood and was pretty much off limits to AF personnel as an unwritten rule because robberies and shootings happen there in that area a lot. I had accidentally went there about dusk one night and as I was leaving it dawned on me where I was and of course 20 feet from my car I was accosted by a vagrant wanting money, especially once he saw the car I was driving. I handed him 5 bucks and said go away now and showed him an empty pocket that it came out of. There are drug dealers and prostitutes roaming everywhere in that area as well. Considering these were white attackers and doing this in a black neighborhood ( which I don't see the media noting ) it makes me think it was racially motivated, not some sort of revolutionary act the left wing weenies here are claiming.

The left is going to spin this for all it's worth. These two were obviously insane to just randomly kill people while shouting the revolution has begun...reminds me of Charlie Manson and his belief that a race war was just going to break out any minute. Helter Skelter

Acknowledging the reality that right wing nut jobs like this couple exist is important. Whether or not the radio hosts, politicians and bloggers who support the fear mongering hatred toward government "mean their comments literally" or not is the worst type of cop out, no pun intended. To spew a steady stream of over the top inflammatory comments day after day is like spraying gasoline on a pile of smoldering trash and then claiming surprise when the heap ignites.

Where do people like this get these ideas? Certainly it is doubtful that they were capable of generating this network of ideas all on their own. Their stupidity cannot absolve the hate/fear mongers from all responsibility. This is the type of thing that happens in the propaganda bubble (created for profit and high ratings)when people no longer think clearly.

I agree with previous comments that the main stream GOP leaders need to start reining in some of their more flamboyant mouthpieces but of course this is unlikely. The right has created a monster in the name of stirring up its base. It looks as if their efforts are bearing fruit way beyond just getting out the vote.

No SAL, it's a possible motive for why this took place in that location. Note that this didn't happen in Summerlin or down in  South Vegas ---Henderson (Hendertucky as we called it when I was there). These shooters would have gotten lit up had they started it there since guns in Vegas are quite as common as poker chips in the casinos.

In Vegas, you can carry in your car concealed even without a license. It's like Texas and their laws. I never left base without my Sig under the seat.

They had FB pages and the dude had posted multiple youtube videos making their motives very clear.

I'd be very surprised if they weren't racists to boot.

They were part of the mindset put in motion that government is bad, and that a person like Bundy stealing millions from the people of the United States is good, and that all police officers are bad. How many videos has T posted without any balance showing police in a negative light. Do not get me wrong, police make mistakes, and we really do have a serious problem with militarized police, but this incessant dehumanizing of police officers as robots for government allows in the mind of the low hanging fruit the denial of their humanity and justification to kill.

Why is a person like Bundy a hero, yet a christian American family whose son volunteered for the military is attacked by Fox and its propaganda machine and the crazies are set loose on the family and the town. Somebody like PK incessantly denies the function of government for good, and T argues seccession, but the sum total of this propoganda machine is that the crazies are showing up at the library board, school board, and local village and threatening people who are working to make our nation work. No the evil has been identified, and the lies and distortions must be addressed and exposed every chance good Americans get.

You're the one who had a problem with farm subsidies in another thread and when I said do away with them you became all abusive and threatening...

I'm fine with the government getting out of all subsidies/doles/bailouts and allowing capitalism work the way it should. How about you?

As for the poor. They should get thee to a church and if you/they don't like that solution you're free to start your own charitable organization that doesn't operate on government funds. After all for ages you said you were a money grabbing baby boomer who is well off. Do something good with all that money if you feel a need to be charitable.

Then I might even call you a saint.

Until then people, like yourself and the dozen kids you've had out of wedlock, who do not make good decisions in their life need to take responsibility for themselves and their own actions. By the way... You'd be surprised how many small farmers would like to see the farm subsidies vanish since the lions share of those subsidies go to the large corporate farms who lobby for them.
