Generally speaking that's still true. But it's changing. An example of change would be a Bill Maher. Now he only gets a pass from progressives. But not your side. And your side now controls enough media that it can have an impact on how much of a pass he DOESN'T get. We see evidence of that in internet forums.

Go figure....Bill Maher is free to speak what the left by it's definintion of hate speech and contribute a million bucks to the COWH and there's little or no questions...but a conservative entertainer....say....Ted Nugent expresses his opinions and suddenly the rules change and he gets a knock on the door by the Secret Service....But a BIGGER injustice is that Uncle Ted has been kept out of the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame even though he's been in the business 50 plus years because of his personal opinions...the liberal artists have not been punished for their opinions....AND FURTHER...Abba is in the R&R HOF and a rocker like Ted ain't?....Liberal justice and logic or lackthereof...
