If I haave said it once, I've said it a thousand times, Conferences do not win championships, teams do. Conferences are so closely matched these days that it is hard to predict who will come out the winner.

To listen to some people talk, they will tell you that Auburn did not belong in the BCS game because of the 2 lucky plays that got them there, an errant deflection against Georgia and missed kick coverage by Alabama. Other will tell you that FSU did not belong because of their weak schedule

All the talk about one conference being stronger than another is pure BS.

PD, you may want to count again, the ACC was victorious in 5 bowl games while the SEC won 7 bowl games. That does not seem dead even to me. The ACC beat Bowling Green, Minnesota, Cincinnati, Ohio State and Auburn while the SEC beat Georgia Tech, Rice, Duke, Wisconsin, Iowa, Oklahoma State and Houston.
