So one of those crazy liberal progressive intrusions by government to punish gas guzzlers by the use of tax(our forum constitutional scholars say congress cannot do those things) is directly contributing to stable gas prices and a stronger dollar.....duh.

It is way past the time to kick stupid to the curb.

Ahem...

But they took our freedom...to pay outrageous prices for fuel...to be guzzled by incredibly inefficient vehicles!!!  I'm less free in this economy of affordable gas prices and more fuel efficient modes of transportation!!!  Our founding fathers are rolling over in their graves due to how we are trampling all over the constitution!!!  They new damned well that implementing policies that sought to make the automotive industry more efficient was nothing more than a fascist version of Marxist socialism command and control government!!!  These damned liberals need to read a book and get, like, educated and shit!

If we would just give liberty a chance, the invisible hand would magically make gas prices go down even further, and just magically make cars more efficient!  The magic invisible hand is all we need!  It fixes everything naturally, and the only reason we had exploding gas prices before is because the government did it!!  They blocked the invisible hand thing from working its magic in the free market capitalist system!  Or something like that!

There.  No need for any conservatives to chime in on this one.  I think I covered it all.

My first house on the beach cost 12K and it was nice. back in 1973. Now the average car costs 28k and the tax payers paid for GM to ship our industry... our jobs to Brazil and China. You guys having a government wet dream over the price of gasoline which may have stabilized more because people are broke, jobless and don't drive makes be giggle a little...tee hee tee hee.
