Good reading.
Now while I am no advocate of people marrying thier cousins
I do understand this conversation came up because of the gay marriage thing, and the comment was wh not let any willing adult marry who they want.
I got your analogy as gay marriage is certianly repulsive to some as cousins marrying or people with animal is repulsive.
You have a valid point because I understand that slelective repulsiness each of us have. So I will agree with you that a adult should be able to marry whom ever they choose, and that would go for animals too. I mean we eat them, what could be worse than chopping them up? It disgust me to the bone the whole thin, but I understand that 2 men being together or 2 women alo disgust some.
Thats my take on it. Glad to see you here DE. I like your style
The analogy... if you wish to call it that... Is that the gay issue is about civil rights being granted, namely gay marriage, due to sexual preferences. If we are now basing civil rights on the sexual preferences of people then the sexual preferences of all mature willing companions should be considered otherwise the courts here in Iowa made a unConstitutional decision. They violated not only Article 1 Bill Of Rights, Section 6, of the Iowa Constitution...

...but the 14th Amendment, Section 1, ending sentence, of the United States Constitution...

....by granting special privileges to a specific minority group and denying equal protection to others...
...The Civil Rights Act was all inclusive for the protection of the various races within our borders and if we are now expanding the definition to include sexual preferences the all people with various sexual preferences, so long as they are mature willing companions, should be included...
...By the way... It would also violate the Florida Constitution, Article 1, Section 2...

...See my point? Call it my Neo-Conservative twist coming out. I will adhere to the Constitution of the United States as closely as possible. If we're now saying people with different sexual preferences are allowed to marry then so be it, so long as all involved are mature willing companions. If the supposedly enlightened progressive liberals don't like it they can go suck on some lemons.
...Besides..... I have a couple of first cousins and if they came after me it'd be very, very, hard to turn them down... The elegant curve of their beak, those graceful talons, the shimmering dark feathers,... Ah.h..h...
