CNN has an article about possible breakthroughs on Iran's nuclear program.

Of course, Israel, The world's ONLY rogue nuclear power, is bitching about a possible deal that has Iran stopping the enrichment of uranium while getting easement of sanctions in return.

Hell, at least North Korea-another rogue state-declared itself a nuke-nation...... Israel won't even to that! And it has one of the most advance nuclear arsenals in the world, with the ability to reach nations who are not even on its enemies list. Israel just wants to act as a nuclear armed thug is all.

For all of the mistakes Barrack Obama has made, I will give him multiple kudos for NOT starting a war with Iran. And for keeping that hot-head Benjamin Netanyahu at arms-length. No need to cozy-up to that fool.

Now I expect PaceDog to bring hellfire and damnation upon me, and call me an 'anti-semite.' Bring it, Buckwheat!

Israel can handle its own all we have to do is move out of the way. If we isolate Israel, which is called for in end times, we go the way of Rwanda and other crap nations. I doubt your ready for that at all.

That was a good article.

Why is it with Democratic presidents, America pushes Israel to accept reality and make progress toward peace, but then GOP presidents support Israeli hardliners who push it back 20 steps? Jimmy Carter got the Camp David accords signed between Israel and Egypt in 1979, albeit at great cost to the American taxpayer. Bill Clinton made great strides and put a lot of effort into making Israel settle its differences with the Palestinians. George W. Bush was only interested in making war against Muslims, and cared less about what was going on in Palestine. President Obama is trying to get the peace issue moving again.

At least, under Obama's watch there will be no attack on Iran from either the U.S. or our proxy-ally, Israel. That is a good thing, and I give him two thumbs up for keeping a lid on this issue.

Finally an American President is putting American interests first. Sorry, I will support Israel when they are right and they have been a good ally. However, bombing Iran is not a solution for American interests. It may be a legitimate goal of Israel, as their national interests are not the same as America. Sorry, President Obama has continued to show the world that an A+ student in international relations is in control. Control starts by not letting the tail wag the dog.

We do not need to shed more American blood and wealth to protect our allies in the middle east. Iran is going to evolve. People just do not know their history or what we have done to the people of Iran. The resentment toward our country has been earned, and with leadership we can reinstate our once close relationship. However, the path to the same starts and ends with the battle of modernity which is independent of Israel. Israel is only a footnote on this historic battle of modernity and the ironclast grip of clergy on what was a growing secular government. Modernity is going to win. With modernity the tensions will lessen in the Middle East, but to fail to recognize that the battle of modernity is not limited to Arabs, but that Jews in Israel also must fight ironclast dogma from traditional conservative sects which are as bad as the clergy we now condemn and want to bomb......that would be totally counterproductive because it is the vast middle of Iranians who want modernity.

70 year old technology.......like trying to protect a model T......therein lies the problem......we think we will fight the next war with the last war's technology.......Nuclear proliferation can only be dealt with vigilance and utilization of all tools available under international law......but then again...that is easy to espouse when I live in a country protected by second strike capability. Israel has been and will remain a target until the context in the middle east is changed.....it cannot be changed by bombs. It can be changed by modernity.

In many ways I agree... and I've said before... that those countries will have to open their societies to free information.

The religions resist that because they will slowly but surely lose control of the people... unless they can amass authoritarian military power. The way a country treats minorities and women is a pretty clear indicator of their ultimate intentions and agenda.

We sell our old technology to third world countries, just like we have in the past sold our banned chemicals abroad...unless some entity like the Carlyle Group needs the profits...then we make tanks that are useless and start wars to keep the neocon dream alive.

Ya think? Maybe because he hates Israel our country is being put through the times it is currently in? Ever looked at what happens to countries that blow off Israel and turn their back on them? Yeah, end up in dust bin of history. We can start with GB partitioning off Israel as it currently is, the Nazis trying to exterminate the Jews and move on from there....ever care to think why Israel blooms in the desert and the rest of the Arab world can't feed itself?
