"....A CNN/ORC International poll released Monday morning, hours before funding for the government is scheduled to run out, also indicates that most Americans think Republicans in Congress are acting like spoiled children in this fiscal fight, with the public divided on whether the president is acting like a spoiled child or a responsible adult...."

There are so many things contributing to our country's fiscal woes.... Why did the GOP decide to go all or nothing with the ACA now? It seems to me they are 4th and long on their own 25 yard line, and they are still intending to go for it, not realizing that statistically, their chances of making a 1st down are nil.

Oh, how I wish Jeff Miller would find himself in a competitive rat-race to keep his seat in November of 2012. Unfortunately, the local sheep will likely just vote his ass back in unopposed.

First, it is my hope that Speaker Boehner will finally take a position to allow a clean bill to be voted on in the House . . . . if he allows the TP to take him hostage and rebels against his willingness to allow a vote then his stature among the American people will be both elevated and celebrated. Speaker Boehner knows he is playing with fire and it is pure insanity to allow these economic terrorists to run the show . . . so I just hope he allows the clean bill to be voted on in the House.

And to Mr. Z's question as to who will bear the brunt of the blame . . . . . . there is no question that it will be the TP anarchists . . . . . .

If the breadth and scope of your ideology is rejected by the American people and your positions have become marginalized......terrorism is the only choice. The 2014 elections will have few surprises......just fewer TP candidates and certainly national elections have all but ignored their input. TP equals Dixiecrat, and they are unable to hijack the Republican Party, and clearly have no qualms about running the ship aground, which sadly means very little checks and balances to the Democrats who will have carte blanch.

It would shock me of Boehner possessed the will to do anything.

Word on the street has it that he is drunk and incommunicato every evening by 6 pm.

He has shown up at numerous public speaking engagements obviously intoxicated.

He is the weakest and most ineffective Speaker in the history of the House, and apparently his bad habits are spreading throughout his caucus ...

Denny was a great Speaker, but the last two have been below the radar. Nancy should have brought bills to the president......nothing. John is stuck like a woodpecker in my siding, and if one of the crazies like Cantor stab John in the back to get the job.......the House is going Democratic.

Apparently, moderate Republicans in the House have tried to knock some semblance of sense into their Teajadist-insurgent compatriots, but have failed.

We are 4 hours away from shutting down the government.

I hope the govt is shut down. It is way bigger than it was ever meant to be. A behemoth that can't even govern itself. Now it's suppose to take care of our health care. Good Lord you liberals are out of your minds. So be it. I'm looking forward to some different and better "hope and change"! Even if you libtards worship a slack jawed moron.
