There are a great many home games in the Panhandle. I have heard horror stories of robberies of home games when I play at Greyhound. People are playing in a game like the video and 4 guys with guns bust in and beat the crap out of people, take their jewelry, cash, watches, make threats that if they call the police they will get them because they know who they are, and then locked them in a bathroom with everybody duct taped. The two guys talking about the robbery actually thought they were going to die.
I would never play in that type of home game. We play friendly games at each others home and the buy ins are low and we donate 100 bucks to the host for pizza. I only play in casinos or with friends. People are incredibly cheap trying to find a way to get around the casino cut. If you play good poker, you would not worry about the cut or expose yourself to that risk.
I will be playing at biloxi and greyhound next week. No home games.
