There's nothing "progressive" about Sal, Seaoat, democrats, liberals, MSNBC, Sharpton, Obama and the rest.

What they really are is reactionaries living in the past. They think it's still the 1950's when whites made blacks ride the back of the bus and strung them up from trees. They not only think that's what era they're still living in, they actually desire to live in that era. They are in complete denial that 50+ years has put us all into a new society which doesn't have a goddamn thing to do with that any longer. A new society of black racism and bigotry.

First off... Why do you consider me a right-winger? My stances on most social issues are even more progressive than ya' all's. But then I am being a Constitution conservative when I bring up my points in those areas. Which does mean that I am still being conservative.

Second off... What makes you think that the current progressives in American politics aren't exactly what you're describing?

Thirdly... What brought this little, shall we say, outcry(?) about? The racism argument in the Australian murder case?

Neither side likes where my Constitutional conservatism leads but at least the conservatives aren't abusive and in some cases will agree with me on the point I've made.

What chair is that, Sal. I didn't know this thread was about furniture.

But if we're gonna talk about furniture, then here is what I believe to be about the ultimate in furniture (of sorts).

A friend of mine over in Lousiana restored an antique coke machine for one of his customers and delivered it this week. The dude had a Brunswick Monarch from the 1800's. He bought it out of Colorado for 85 grand.
Check out the carved wood lions in the base.
