No big surprise, our favorite Progressives here, who believe ObamaCare is the answer to their dreams, represent only FOURTEEN PERCENT of knowledgeable voters.

55% View Health Care Law Unfavorably
Monday, May 06, 2013

President Obama’s health care law is more unpopular than it has been for months.

Just 39% of Likely U.S. Voters now view the law at least somewhat favorably, while 55% share an unfavorable opinion of it, according to a new Rasmussen Reports national telephone survey. This includes 14% with a Very Favorable view and 40% with a Very Unfavorable one. (To see survey question wording, click here.)

You said nothing. Your post, coupled with your headline, didn't even make sense.

Define "knowledgeable voters", please.

Based on Oblamers disapproval ratings it appears more voters are becoming "knowledgeable"

Maybe the freebies promised havent been delivered....Detroit wants to be bailed out for incompetence over decades and reading today that Chicago isn't far behind...A state legislator from Michigan said it very clearly...we voted for you now send us money....Will the cowh try this going into the 2014 elections?...

President Obama's approval ratings, while admittedly are slipping, remain head and shoulders above America's view of Congress . . . . . most of this disdain is directed at the right wing GOP out-of-control caucus whose only ambition is to thwart the Prez at every opportunity . . . . bless their f*#@ing hearts!

Yeah the president and his Democratic cronies in Congress allowing big businesses who have the resources another year, or to never to comply, with their health care mandate; while requiring the individual mandate deadlines be meet would have nothing to do with it.

I see... You're the reverse side of the Occupy Movement coin which supports big business and the rape of the middle class.

Earth to knothead. Over five hundred and thirty five members of Congress who, SUPPOSEDLY are led by the President.

A President who is rapidly swirling the bowl from the malaise economy, at least FIVE MAJOR scandals, now another gaining renown...the Keystone Pipeline.

The last thing I want in congress is a super majority or even major consensus... that's when we get things like the patriot act, ndaa, obamacare... etc. Our system of govt was designed to be contentious so that middle ground can be found.

pkr, I certainly agree and recognize the merits of our system . . . . . problem is it's not working! Yesterday Obama put on the table tax reform, corporate tax cuts and in exchange to reinvest some of the proceeds in infrastructure across the country as the nation is graded a D in infrastructure condition.

Let's see if any of the GOP leadership steps up to at least offer a compromise or an alternative. This Congress, whether you believe it or not, largely exists to deny Obama any semblance of legislative progress . . . . . these are offers that the GOP has supported in the past so we'll see if they have a change of heart, won't we?

Those would've been easy to have rubber stamped in 09 & 10 instead of shoving another social entitlement down our throats. While on the outside his "new" plan looks noble... I'd like it looked at very closely before passed. No more ideologic driven boondoggles.

Nothing was shoved down your throat . . . . . . . it was passed and became law . . . . . you don't like it? I accept that now you must accept that the ACA is law and passed by Congress and signed by the President. I don't even like aspects of it but, unlike you, I recognize it has been before the SCOTUS and approved . . . . let's move on please.

Your comment above highlighted in red belies your natural inclination to just say no to any Obama proposal and would enter a consensus building discussion (if you were a political player) with a chip on your shoulder looking for any reason whatsoever to vote NO despite how beneficial or noble the proposal. Your reasoning is flawed but is well represented in the House GOP caucus so you would certainly fit right in there with the rest of Taliban. LOL

Back room meetings... bribed support... no support from across the aisle... lack of public disclosure... the congressmen not reading or understanding the bill in it's entirety... a lack of public support... and misrepresentations from the potus and other leaders. That makes it one of the most shady laws ever passed... and justifies it being referred to as shoved down our throat. They can't even make the damn thing fly now.

I must admit that I would closely scrutinize any bills or proposals put in front of me if I were a politician... radical I know.

Wait until they see this, just released by FLOIR

http://www.floir.com/PressReleases/viewmediarelease.aspx?id=2016

But then again the majority will be eligible for subsidy in Florida.

hmmm... I still worry that there will be a margin that will be pushed to a lower standard of living by the mandate.

Couple that with the rising cost of living and stagnant wages... it's going to create economic pressure on more americans.

It's as if the powers that be can wait for the natural course of collectivism... they want to speed things up.

who knows, one thing for sure the subsidy's are going to break the govt. For example a family of 4 household income of 58,875 are going to pay approximately 8.1% of their income which is $4769 annual premium and their subsidy is going to be approximately $7,760 for a total of $12,529 in total premium and this will not be the platinum plans which are the best plans. Of course if the income is lower they will pay a lesser percentage and the govt will pay more. No one can calculate the exact number's of subsidy one will receive until number's get put into the IRS calculator that will be available only to the one's selling or if one goes online and purchases themselves thru healthcare.gov. But a person, if they think they are going to make more money they don't have to take the full subsidy they can elect for a lower amount, but who is really going to do that?  It's very complicated. I feel sorry for the one's who want to by pass an agent and deal directly over the internet or phone with the govt, because once they have a claim or premium problem it won't be easy getting resolved thru the govt or corporate insurance company. Maybe the $1.00 that the insurer's and self insured plan's start paying tomorrow for everyone on a policy, to the govt will help with costs.Razz

I see it as an ideological agenda... I know other people see it as a "right"... but in reality healthcare is a service or product. It isn't magic... it's not a guarantee of health or anything near it. I worked in healthcare my entire professional life and was pre-med until I tired of school... the more I learned the more I found how little we really know. I've kidded that if we really want to cut costs that the mandates should be REALLY progressive... dietary requirements... exercise requirements... lifestyle requirements... don't even think of smoking or drinking or skydiving or... etc... but that really isn't that far off base. I don't give a damn anymore... I'm glad I won't be around when humans are completely domesticated. If I were you... I think I'd find a way to transition into a specialist for the govt. You seem to be able to digest this information very well... that has to be a valuable commodity. Not exactly a free market option... but the times they are a changin.
