Isn't it strange or flip flopping that a tea bagger didn't want this law at all and screaming to throw it out, then they delay and it could lead to possibly being thrown out in 2015 and they are screaming because they're delaying it? Can anyone say Sybil syndrome? Strange.
Is this the best place for you to find a partner?People are "screaming" because they're screaming "I TOLD YOU SO"!
ObamaCare is unaffordable, unworkable and already a massive failure.
What the hell are you talking about, Markle? I take this as an insult to both doubtingthomas and me, as well as my husband. I haven't attacked you or your family personally; don't attack mine. Jerk.
Yes, Obamacare may in fact be a "massive failure" in part, particularly the early implementation, but the best parts of the law will usher in single payer if Obamacare doesn't work. I have come to realize this may be the administration's ultimate goal. President Obama didn't campaign as pro single payer for no reason, it seems.
I don't think there are too many in this country who will want to dump the good parts of this law, such as making insurance available to those with pre-existing conditions as well as finally untying the knot between employers and employees with regard to the availability of health insurance (I think this law will convince most employers to drop health insurance as a benefit, though I may be wrong.)
Our current system SUCKS, Markle. I have become convinced over the past couple of years that one major reason you fail to recognize this is because you are taking advantage of that "socialist" program called Medicare. Yeah, yeah, I know.....you paid into it, so you are willing to reap your just rewards. But how about if all of us paid a tax for health care, and could therefore access Medicare at any age? Yes, the tax would be substantial, but separate Medicare taxes would be wiped out. Even the medical portion of worker's compensation might be wiped out, and that would be a boon for businesses if premiums went down, eh?
And no, I am no happier that it will be the government that heads single payer than you are. Unfortunately, due to the utter failure of our current health care system to provide decent care to citizens in this country, we will be left with no other choice. Yes, I do think private insurers will be able to offer additional coverage similar to Medigap policies to those who want and can afford it, but at least all of the citizens of our country will have access to comprehensive, consistent health care.
