Now that we're done with that, let's move on to the next debate.
Does the sun set in the east or in the west?
Opinions?

Bob,
Help me on your math......is there another dimension that you slid into for a few years which you did not count for that half century.....did you move for a few years......or have you been frozen somewhere around 2006 and in suspended animation where you quit counting years.....? help me because I am confused.

I agree with vectorman that the current obsessions with both the gun and gay marriage issues are as much as anything just a distraction.
The politicians can't fix the things which are far more important like the decline in the American economy, the decline in the foreign policy, the debt spending, out of control health care costs, the underemployment/unemployment, and the list goes on. So they distract the public from those failures by focusing the public's attention on gay marriage and banning "assault rifles" and ammo clips with more than 10 rounds. And the evils of 17 ounce cokes.
And a sychophantic media aids them in creating this distraction.
And, it's both democrat politicians and republican politicians and democrat media blowhards and republican media blowhards who are all contributing to this.
And most of the public swallows it all hook, line and sinker.

Seems to me all DC talks about is "debt spending".
I'd just as soon they stick to things that actually affect the average citizen, like the "gun and gay marriage issues".[/font]

Not every "conservative" I have ever known was agin gays. I include you and vector in the number of conservatives I have encountered and conversed with. And you two absolutely are exceptions. But you two are the ONLY exceptions in my world.
