I used to watch WWF wrestling on TV, and the Iron Shiek always played the bad guy. He was supposed to be from Iran. He would always start his matches by saying "Iran-#1, USA-pffffft!" This was back in 1984 or so.

I actually paid to go to a WWF match in 1985 so I could see Hulk Hogan in the square-circle against the "Macho-Man," Randy Savage. They were the headliners, with the last match being a steel-cage match between "Mr. Wonderful," Paul Orndorff, and "Rowdy" Roddy Piper.

I went with my brother-in-law, and we had a blast.

When I watched the video and he started bitching about carrying cocaine across the border for somebody I figured he's probably mexican. But sure enough his wiki page says his name is Hossein and he's from Tehran.
