Interesting article. Fascinating to think that there was an entire society, growing and thriving before our country was even discovered. Millions of people dying for reasons a mystery to them and yet the bodies were laid out neatly instead of being dumped into massive holes. Other newer cemeteries 200 to 300 years old are buried with buildings atop them. When do we start building over our cemeteries?

we could get rid of problematic discoveries such as this by using creamation.

Ive always thought filling a body full of formaldhyde was weird as people come along and kiss your cold dead face.

so with creamation, many of the things that get dug up like these graves would be rendered obsolete. of course it wouldnt help with prion disease, but certainly those are rare.

It is an interesting story though.
