His ex-wife, a principal of a Huntsville elementary school, was fired in 2011.

The poor kids....3 of them.

This case will probably make national headlines.

Very sad.

It's being reported that the police have no suspects....but that's a little hard to believe. The divorce was final on Dec 28 and the husband got the house and full custody of the children.

Do you think the ex may have some involvement in this murder? I know in a murder case the spouse automatically goes to the top of the suspect list.

I think his ex-wife is an evil, sorry woman. Here is some history about why she was fired.

You know I don't like convicting people before hearing the evidence, but given her history and recent custody/divorce proceedings--if the ex isn't somehow involved in the murder, I would be surprised. Someone walked up and shot him in his car, multiple times, right in his driveway. Sounds like a very personal crime.

This neighborhood where it happened is "over the mountain" from the main part of Huntsville. Very quiet, safe community.

Yep, nepotism and fraud.

She abused her position for personal gain.

Does dreams know her?

She abused her position for personal gain.

Sure sounds like it but to go from hiring her sister, and allowing a 2 year old into a 3 year old preschool program is a very long leap to murder. Maybe we should wait for a little more information. The husband could have been promising someone that once the divorce was final....they would be together, she could be angry at him, or simply want to set up the ex to eliminate her from interfering with the new girlfriend......it could be someone who was terminated by the principal who is trying to set her up......it could be a random shooting because someone does not like him in the neighborhood, it could be that he had a Notre Dame sticker on his car........if we immediately blame the exwife..........it seems a bit unfair until all the facts are in......probabilities would however agree with an ex being a suspect.

You're right, Seaoat. But look at her actions, from falsifying multiple documents to charging parents for tutoring. Also, I don't know if it's in the stories that I posted, but she fired a school aide and hired her sister for the job. The woman evidently thought she could get away with one thing after another. At the very end of the news story i posted--her husband was arrested in 2011 for abusing her. But yet the judge gave him full custody of the children along with the house. I would not be surprised if she falsely accused her husband of beating her. I still think she's an awful woman, even if she had nothing to do with the murder. But if she's arrested, she'll have her day in court.

Seaoat, it does not take Sherlock Holmes to figure out that in murder cases that the spouse is always the first suspect until evidence can rule him/her out. Any amateur criminalist or criminal profiler would know that.

This woman has a lot of nerve, that's for sure. AFTER she was fired, she used the school's automated message system to send a message to the parents at the school.

There had to be a significant reason she did not get custody of the children since he is in the military and will be on deployment. She probably has a good alibi and got someone else to do it. It doesn't look good.

I believe the divorce judge ruled what was in the best interest of the children and she certainly is not stable. With her being fired for nepotism and fraud the judge in this case used his/head head. I know of several single military parents and all the military member has to do is make accommodations for care of the children when they deploy.

Little by little, information trickles out.

According to family members, the ex-wife was still living in the couple's home when her ex-husband was murdered. The husband was living in an apartment at the time of his murder.
