” Mack said. “Most of them have said they would lay down their lives first rather than allow any more federal control. They also said they would do everything they could to stop gun control and gun confiscation.”

---------------------------------------------------------------------

“The county sheriffs need to act and make new deputies to stop federal authority in the counties,” Pratt told WND. “This is a defensible idea. He can deputize people to serve since they are the ones who voted for him to represent them. A lot of citizens would stand up for their Second Amendment rights if they were protected by the sheriff.”

I don't think anybody's talking about taking away guns completely and I wouldn't want that but assault weapons are not necessary.

The 2nd amendment doesn't have your Nanny state in mind.. It was stated that arms are the Citizens liberty TEETH...You wouldn't want us citizens wearing dentures would you.

Teo, you don't need an assault weapon. You can kill somebody w/ a regular old hand gun. The Constitution never specified assault weapons.

George Wallace stood up for a failed idea.... Liberty for my kids and grandkids is all I care to leave them with and millions feel like I do...Of course you don't run in the circles I do...You have accepted god is government...everything you say parrots the propaganda I am so tired of which spews from the dying Government controlled press. Government makes people happiest when it is pretty much inconsequential.

I may have multiple attackers...who are you to tell ME what I need ? I drove corvettes for years...you would be like my old buddy that drove a ford pickup....he often said that thing is the most impractical thing you can drive...I just laughed and smiled at every turn.....

The duly elected sheriff of a county is the highest law enforcement official within a county. He has law enforcement powers that exceed that of any other state or federal official.

This is settled law that most people are not aware of.

He was right. You can only go the speed limit and nobody needs an assault weapon. Use two guns.

My 99 corvette could out steer even my Mits V4 with rear wheel steering that I sold to a sheik who was in school in Alabama in the University Mall parking lot to pay my second wife back all she had put into our marriage so she would leave without a hassle......I actually never spoke to his majesty his foxy little maid servant handled the exchange.......

The reusable vagina? LOL! Yeah... it takes a lickin and keeps on tickin. I'm talking about the Timex commercial, of course.

I spent three years in high school and college working at auto dealerships where I would do dealer trades between cities. I have never driven a 99 but I have driven earlier models and they are terrible in cornering compared to other sport cars. Maybe corvettes after the 70s had some suspension and weight distribution changes.....but it was not a good cornering car at all in the earlier models......It was a real pain for me to get in and out of the damn things....low to the ground...no head room....and no leg room.

Yes I had an 89 and there was NO comparison...the 99 has the transmission in the rear which really helps the weight distribution. The suspension is fantastic....unlike the older models you spoke of which don't have what I would call a suspension...LOL. Go plant your fanny in one and take a test drive....I won't tell anyone...

Before Ivan, we used to do Auto cross at Bronson field. There used to be a Navy Pilot that had a fairly later model corvette, Kumo tires, tuned suspension Etc. He liked me for some reason and would let me ride with him. Damn. what a ride. A capable car like the vette in the hands of a very skilled driver was unreal. He was a fighter pilot but he never said much about it, His reactions and composure under stress were something you just had to see. Nice guy. Damn He could make that Corvette talk..................

Here is why I need a semi auto with a high capacity magazine...I might want to do a 50 state salute without reloading...like New Years Night....

All it says is "ARMS". Assault weapons are "ARMS"

Then your rights aren't being infringed if your allowed to keep a handgun.
