I could take out a hundred people not using a firearm and simply using some p dishes and an easily purchased antibiotic resistant strain of ecoli, and a simple formula for an explosion which creates 20 or 30 wounds per victim and your typical sunday service at church, or typical college lecture hall. The placement in the ceiling of said structures in a large fake light fixture would require a rental lift and some simple tools. 100% kill rate with soaked metal projectiles and those who died from the original blast would be the lucky ones.
Any semi intelligent sick bastard can kill people with anything. The point is playing probabilities when discussing safety. How or what can we do as a society to reduce gun and vehicle deaths. If your response is that if you put seatbelts in cars, but a fellow in brazil was drowned when he could not get his seatbelt off after going over a cliff and landing in a river.....yep.....it probably is the truth......but should we design or response on that, or the 10k folks dying from accidents where a seatbelt would save their lives. Too many critics of safety measures make the absurd argument that less than perfect is the barrier to good.....sorry.....the cost benefit of gun safety and vehicle safety is pretty straightforward, and this standard that you must stop all gun violence unless you propose safety standards which are 100% PERFECT.......nope.....slowly we will propose regs with good results.
