I have several friends who were traveling I-10 and all I can do is pray for their safety.

That's horrible. That fog was supposed to move East. (I saw one map showing fog from Pensacola running NNE way up into the US, but don't remember WHEN)

No trip is so important that you must risk your safety and drive in thick fog to get there.

Kinda reminds me of the edict issued to all pilots of the 3rd MAW by its Commanding General (MGen Comfort) back around 1984 or so: "No mission in peacetime is so important that it must be flown at the expense of safe operating procedures." I don't know if this helped much, as we were still crashing helicopters all over the place, it seems....

I hope your friends arrive at their destination safely, WT...

Which reminds me. I got a call last night asking for a donation to the Texas State Troopers. I said " why in the hell would I want to donate to the Texas State Troopers-they got an idiot for a Gov. and hung up.Yes, it was rude.
