Income Stagnation - why aren't the candidates discussing this?

The problem of income stagnation is killing the middle class yet neither BHO nor MR seem to be addressing ways to goose the economy and fix trade imbalances that are impacting a large number of workers. Manufacturing used to be the backbone of America but seems to be slowing as qualified workers are fast disappearing. Our idiotic and rapidly declining education system has devolved into a mantra that everyone needs a college degree when in fact a skilled trade would pay bigger dividends.

When you start adding unemployment and limited opportunity along with a rising cost of living/food... things happen fast.
