I find it so ironic that of all the things they could have talked about with Ann Romney they chose this. Ann Romney shows everyone the strenght and character that she has and will make a great FIRST LADY!!!!

I know it is in the past, and their is forgiveness, but how did Pres. Clinton face parents of children killed in the Vietnam war or the wars after that when he defected to Canada to avoid the draft, himself. It amazes me how the same rules don’t apply to the democrats as they try to apply them to the republicans.

Ann Romney is going to make a superb 1st Lady.

I love that Ann got to correct that dumbass whoopie about her faith. She gave perfect answers. I agree with most of the responses at the bottom. She is going to make a fantastic first lady!

She is a lovely gracious lady no doubt.

The obama's were on that show a few days before... the contrast in questions is telling.

Just for the record:

President Obama's approval rating is 50.1%
Michelle Obama's approval rating is 66%
Mitt Romney's approval rating is 47%
Ann Romney's approval rating is 42%

It's difficult to compare Ann Romney's approval rating to Michelle Obama's. Just what do people approve or disapprove about Ann Romney?

66% isn't particularly high for a First Lady. Laura Bush's was higher than 66%, even when her husband's ratings sunk into the 30s.

Well, that's the thing. The First Lady doesn't write law or sign legislation. It's really a "likability" rating rather than a job approval rating.
Historically, first ladies have had higher popularity or likability ratings than their husbands.
Also, I think Obama's approval rating has slipped below 50% which is not good for his re-election prospect.

Agree on the likability comment. Michelle has been our First Lady for four difficult years, Ann Romney has not been in the public whatsoever. A I said in an previous post she is a lovely gracious lady from I see and the same is true for our First Lady. The rest of your commentary is hyperbole.

Looking back Laura, while a gracious lady, did very little except show up at the same ole same ole functions or in other words, she stayed away from controversy because her hubby had created so much. It is a meaningless number anyway whether we are discussing Michelle or Laura, it's moot.
