Not sure if that will have any effect upon or hinder their performance. Maybe a pike through their heads will clear their thoughts.

Yep, and there's apparently a tape going around with Trump demanding the Ukraine ambassador be "taken out." The little crime-cabal that America's Stupidest Fucking Citizens installed into office is ramping up its violent rhetoric the more desperate things get.

And, to appease their Lord and Master, Republican senators are showing how uninterested they are in attacks on the fairness of our country's electoral process by wanking off with fidget spinners during the proceedings.

The more I see, the happier I am not to be in a position where I have to defend these bastards. Flawed as the Democrats are, I most definitely chose the right party.

And it's time to quit being nice with Trump's dwindling support about it. If you're still backing this crime family corrupting America, you should have to defend it tooth and nail your every last goddamn waking minute. There's an election coming up... time for aggression with these fucks.

Hopefully there will be no need for aggression. Hopefully in this case IPOTUS will make good on his promise and shove there empty noggins through pikes.
Oh and, more cowbell.

Trump exclaims, "Get rid of her! "Get her out tomorrow. I don't care. Get her out tomorrow. Take her out. Okay? Do it."

So does ordering a hit on somebody qualify as a "high crime"?

Susan Collins apparently adamantly denied this (on pain of imprisonment) during Schiff's closing Friday night.

Need to see just ONE Republican verify having received the threat before I can believe it.

As for Saturday's opening by the Republicans, they've (Sekulow) said they're going to attack, attack, attack -- and therefore I doubt I'll be able to stand watching for one minute, much less a few hours.  UGH.

Especially depressing to think about listening to Sekulow, obviously a Class A ignoramus, to whit:

President Trump’s attorney Jay Sekulow flew into a rage Tuesday evening because he misheard a common legal phrase. Representative Val Demings, one of the House impeachment managers, said, “The president’s lawyers may suggest that the House should have sought — that this House should have sought these materials in court, or awaited further lawsuits under the Freedom of Information Act, a.k.a. FOIA lawsuits.” She repeated a phrase “FOIA lawsuits,” which — even though “FOIA” is a well-known term for lawyers and journalists, and even though she helpfully spelled out the acronym for her audience — struck Sekulow as unfamiliar.

Sekulow decided the word he had heard was “lawyer lawsuits.” He further decided that this phrase was a pejorative and launched a furious riff, denouncing her use of this heretofore novel term with a level of indignation that would be appropriate if she had used some kind of racial slur...

Well of course. Otherwise the high crime of "jury tampering" can be added to the near endless list of charges against IPOTUS.

It's been kind of fun today, watching Republicans try to ignore the Bolton thing. Somebody just dropped a nice fat daisy-cutter right in the middle of their chief argument and they've popped their fingers in their ears and are trying to "La la la!" over it. Very Happy

It should make a difference, but the Republican party's become such a bereft, meaningless cyst of corruption that no amount of criminal behavior's going to get them to stand up to Trump. Meanwhile, if a Democrat jaywalks, you'll hear about it for two weeks on FOX. It's like they're trying to be clowns so we can laugh at their hypocrisy now... Smile

RealLindaL

Dershowitz addressed and dismissed the Bolton thing during his entire dismissal of both articles of impeachment, and then was kind enough to advise us that his particular views on impeachment (as requiring criminal or "near criminal" acts) were in the minority among constitutional scholars.
