Never a fan of his and dislike him much more after he accepted that invitation to speak before a joint session of congress. McConnell went around all norms to bypass then, President Obama, and invite Netanyahu to address Congress. Very disrespectful. It also shows McConnell's take on how to run politics in this backhanded way even before DJT arrived. As they say, 45 isn't the disease, he's the symptom.

I love that the population of this berg is only TEN! The sign is very ostentatious, which fits nicely with the one it names.


The Trump name graces apartment towers, hotels and golf courses. Now it is the namesake of a tiny Israeli settlement in the Israel-controlled Golan Heights. Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's Cabinet convened in this hamlet Sunday to inaugurate a new settlement named after Donald Trump in a gesture of appreciation for the U.S. president's recognition of Israeli sovereignty over the territory.

The settlement isn't exactly new. Currently known as Bruchim, it is over 30 years old and has a population of 10 people.
Israel is hoping the rebranded "Ramat Trump," Hebrew for "Trump Heights," will encourage a wave of residents to vastly expand it.

You make a very good point in your first paragraph. Trump is not the real problem, he's misdirection: Look over there while I make the rabbit disappear over here.

The real problem is the Senate and the odious McConnell. As long as the Senate remains in Republican hands, nothing will change--even if Trump is ousted in 2020.

Democrats HAVE to flip the Senate but nobody is talking about it. It's ALL Trump, ALL the time, classic misdirection.

It may be too late since McConnell has managed to stuff the Federal Judiciary with proto-fascists. We're in REAL trouble and its name ain't Trump.

Too true, I'm afraid. Do we even know how many Senate seats may be open for flipping in 2020?
