Happy Mother's Day

Thanks, FT, and same back to you.  

Actually my son and d.i.l. sent a dozen pink* roses (!) plus some sinful candy, which I will of course share with my (much slimmer) husband.  Wish the kids didn't live so far away, but it was a very nice brightener for this dreary Gulf Coast  Sunday -- and put me in mind of my own sweet departed mother, who loved and grew roses for many years, back in old Virginia.

*Actually, as I've been informed, the roses are lavender, not pink.
