Consider: It was Russia's annexation of Crimea, followed by Putin's invasion of Ukraine and other nasty acts which caused the USA and six other members of the then G8 trade council to eject Russia.

Add in Putin's murders of Russian enemies or refugees in other countries, and Russia's interference of our last national elections.
