I felt good this morning and my wife was staking out some stuff at the project, so I slipped over to play poker.  The poker tables were full so I bought 100 of chips and sat down at three card poker.  Terrible odds in a regular casino, but in Florida the are even worse because they have this goofy player rule where a person sits in the one seat, and you are actually playing against the so called player.  Well, I have never won this game while waiting to get on the poker tables.  Today was different.  I got three fours on about the fifth hand and it paid thirty to one.  I had a couple flushes and a couple straights and next thing you know I am $250 up when they call my name for poker.

I put the 100 of my winnings on the table and we are waiting for players, but the dealer asked if we wanted to start.  We did with just four players.  I have king queen non suited.  A guy bets 13 bucks and I figured I would play and bet.  The flop was 2 of clubs, queen of spades, and the nine of clubs.  I have the high pair with a great kicker, so there is another 13 buck bet which I match and three of us were still in the hand.  The six of diamonds is the turn card and now the guy who like me was matching the bettor makes a twenty dollar bet, the former bettor drops, and it is now the two of us.  I figure he has a queen with a good kicker, or that he has two clubs and he is bluffing me out of the hand, but hoping the club will come on the river.  The river card is a red queen so I know the flush is dead, and I believe the bet comes down to who has the best kicker with their queen.  I was thinking one of three aces in the deck in his hand would beat me.  He raises all in , and I snap call thinking that the ace is the only thing which could beat me.......and lo and behold the guy has a full boat, and the very queen that gave me trips gave him winning hand and boom.........100 bucks gone.......I start to reach in my pocket to get the money I am up and I stop......."thats it for me"   and get up and leave a winner.   That is the first time I have left the track in seven straight visits which I actually won.  Played one poker hand, and stopped at Sonnys at the interstate and brought my wife a pulled pork sandwich.  Tired but resting with the satisfaction that might be the last visit and I finally won.....

We are doing Disney this week.

My son and grandkids went during the cold and said it was great with short lines for the rides. I hope the weather has been good, because it was beautiful today after all that rain Monday. Hopefully, the grandkids are having a great time.

Beautiful weather. The kids live it. Just have the two youngest.

Bad day. We had a two inch water line pop last summer because the plumber left no support or strappings on the backflow valve. Our neighbor shut it off immediately, but we had some kids cut our screen on the porch and get into our park model porch(nothing was taken) and then they wrote stuff with crazy string on the back of the porch. However somebody turned the water back on at some point and we got the 400 buck water bill, and when we were inspecting the really bad plumbing job....there was close to an inch of movement, and with a two inch line you get a hammer effect on joints. We suspect some of the younger helpers over tightened the threaded connection which often puts cracks in the joint which are a time bomb, which was quickly confirmed when we jingled the lose plumbing and the other end of the backflow valve which was behind the shut off valve broke and my wife and I got soaked to the bone as it took us a few minutes to get to the water district's shut off.

We said F this half asz chit. We bought an inline clorinator and replumbed and mixed concrete to give the plumbing support and put two more two by four supports in the concrete. We will be up early in the morning and finish the install. We had called the plumber two weeks ago about the broken pipe, but the best thing that ever happened was that other over tightened connection breaking in our face because if we were in Illinois, it probably would have been a two thousand dollar bill. We have to fix the frost cover and turn the water back on before we have somebody looking at our water heater in the Park model. I had a great day physically as I was working my asz off, and I am a firm believer that the same buys me time, but all the symptoms of liver failure make this increasingly more difficult. It was a beautiful day and my wife and I laughed all the way back to Navarre.....we just cannot catch a "break" right now.

A perfect team.

Not only perfect, but perfectly amazing.

I keep telling my wife that at 65 men will be lining up to spend time with her.......she can literally fix anything, and as an art teacher you would think she would be more artistic and foo foo, but she is an educated woman who as a young woman was strikingly beautiful, but at 65 this March she is more attractive to me sharing our time doing "stuff" which most women would tell there husband to go to hell. She will not be spending her time alone for long after I am gone because men light up in our small town when they see her, but of course getting to go fishing might factor into that attraction, but heck we are back at it this morning and the liver failure is in the background.....we choose to live and celebrate life......and catch a break every once in awhile which does not involve getting soaked to the bone.
