TIME has named The Silence Breakers, the individuals who set off a national reckoning over the prevalence of sexual harassment, as its 2017 Person of the Year.

The magazine's editor-in-chief Edward Felsenthal revealed the selection Wednesday on TODAY along with the cover, a composite group photo that includes actress Ashley Judd, singer Taylor Swift, former Uber engineer Susan Fowler and a woman whose face cannot be seen.

Women are getting fed up. And I don't blame 'em.

Trump's created this feeling of "safety" in some of America's worst people. Racists feel safe waving their swastikas in the streets, pussy-grabbers feel like they can get away with grabbing pussies. And, yeah, I know a lot of this stuff goes back years, and it's not just conservatives doing it, but, that doesn't matter - it's gotta be flushed out, everywhere. People need to not feel safe victimizing others. Time to pay.

Except that... the victimization took place prior to trump... and is unraveling under trump.

Nice try at politicizing it. Rolling Eyes

I think this is a great validation of a movement that should have happened back when, well, when civilization as we know it began but more realistically it should have been part of the original women's movement back in the late '60's. The fact that it has taken so long to recognize this disrespect and constant harassment of women is a sorry admission. I guess it meant more to me than I realized because when I saw the cover on TV this morning it brought tears to my eyes. I'm so happy for my daughter and granddaughters and every woman that this is happening.

Agreed... and I want the congressional records of each payoff. Then start working down to local levels.

Our career politician ruling elite must be deconstructed... L and R and in-between.

Just wait until they start talking about Hillary being the first woman to shatter the glass ceiling by 3 million votes. Doesn't matter that cockholster 45 and his Russian pee master stole the election. She will be the hero and 45 will be the GOPedophile dog. Except Taylor Swift shouldn't be on the cover. She was quiet about her harassment until the guy sued her. She was dropped as a defendant as her mother reported the guy. The only thing she did was testify as to what happened because she had to.

Can you imagine the number of weirdos that she has to deal with in any given day? Give the girl a break.

What does that have to do w/ the subject? A totally non responsive answer. She wasn't a silencer breaker which is the point. Sheesh! There are plenty of other people who were.
