Personally, I think if sitting Congressmen and Senators can be charged with a crime (and they can be) ... so can the President.

No,the President can't be charged w/ a crime while in office. He can be impeached or tried after he is out of office.

I may be splitting hairs here ... but again, as I said previously, technically that's an untested legal opinion, there's no constitutional or statutory prohibition that I'm aware of.

Would you care to cite a law or constitutional prohibition, law, or judicial precedent that backs up your claim? I am always happy to be corrected.
