Democrats won't want to read this, but the real bribes from the Russians were taken under the Obama admin and the Clinton Foundation had huge sums of money donated to them by Russian Oligarchs

And the FBI pretty much knew this and sat on their hands doing nothing.

The "real bribes???" So, all those bribes made to the trump advisors and to the Trump crime family were "fake bribes," right?

Even if the story were true, and I seriously doubt it, it doesn't absolve Donald Trump from a single one of his own crimes.

I'm disgusted that The Hill published that. One of the authors used to work at the Washington Times. It's just a bunch of recycled hype from Peter Schweizer's book, for which he admitted he had not a single shred of proof.

Here's more on Schweizer, who has economic ties to the Koch Brothers and the Mercers.

FBI agents also gathered documents and a witness account that Russian officials routed millions of dollars to ex-President Bill Clinton’s charitable foundation while Secretary of State Hillary Clinton sat on a committee that gave a nod to the dealings with Moscow.

Like the Obama administration, the Clintons said there was no evidence to prompt them to go the other way on the Uranium One deal.

The Department of Justice investigated the Russian plot for close to four years, keeping the information under wraps while the Obama administration approved the deal instead of bringing immediate charges.

A November 2014 indictment states that Vadim Mikerin, a director of Rosatom’s Tenex, “did knowingly and willfully combine, conspire confederate and agree with other persons … to obstruct, delay and affect commerce and the movement of an article and commodity (enriched uranium) in commerce by extortion” from 2009 to January 2012.

The House Intelligence Committee chairman at the time, former Rep. Mike Rogers of Michigan, told The Hill that he was never informed about the "breathtaking" Russian efforts to manipulate America’s enterprise. Many lawmakers back then had serious concerns about the Uranium One deal, he said.

“Not providing information on a corruption scheme before the Russian uranium deal was approved by U.S. regulators and engage appropriate congressional committees has served to undermine U.S. national security interests by the very people charged with protecting them,” Rogers said, short of labeling it a coverup.

But the newly published documents will certainly raise questions about Obama's nuclear deal — a topic that then-candidate Donald Trump consistently raised on the campaign trail even before he took over the White House and had access to the information revealed this week.

Btw... holder, Mueller, Rosenstein and Comey were all involved in the uranium one investigation and none of them disclosed the conflicts and corruption to congress prior to the sale. In fact... holder even sat on the committee that approved the deal... knowing full well the illegality. I think this should disqualify any of them from the current Russian collusion investigation. Their bias is astounding and blatant.

This "scandal" is being kept alive by the likes of Donald Trump and Sean Hannity.

The allegation is that Hillary Clinton personally made the decision to approve the sale of this Canadian company to the Russians.

The truth is that the State Department was one of nine - count em' - nine agencies involved in the decision, all of which saw no national security risks related to the sale.

Each one of the nine agencies appointed a single representative to determine the merits of every every sale under consideration.

At the time of the potential Uranium One sale, the person representing the State Department on CFIUS was Jose Fernandez, Assistant Secretary of State for Economic, Energy and Business Affairs.

This was never under Clinton's purview, as it was something considered a lower-level function, one best left to someone with specific expertise in the issues involved.

What's more, final approval was formally provided by the Nuclear Regulatory Commission, which noted that THE MINES WOULD REMAIN UNDER THE CONTROL OF US SUBSIDIARIES, since Uranium One doesn’t hold an NRC export license.

Again, NONE OF THE URANIUM IN QUESTION WAS ALLOWED TO LEAVE THE US -just one reason CFIUS signed off on the deal, as did the NRC and President Obama.

Did the Russians attempt to influence the decision?

Of course, we know the Russians try to influence everything.

But is that the reason the sale was approved?

Of course not.

This has already been debunked completely.  But the fact that something's not true never stops an easily-led idiot child-mind from clinging to it and belieeeeeeeeving.

ignoring the facts doesn't make them go away. The current players investigating Russia today sat on direct knowledge of Russian illegalities while the uranium one deal was made. It's that simple.

"The Department of Justice investigated the Russian plot for close to four years, keeping the information under wraps while the Obama administration approved the deal instead of bringing immediate charges.

A November 2014 indictment states that Vadim Mikerin, a director of Rosatom’s Tenex, “did knowingly and willfully combine, conspire confederate and agree with other persons … to obstruct, delay and affect commerce and the movement of an article and commodity (enriched uranium) in commerce by extortion” from 2009 to January 2012."
