Trump's basket of loyal deplorables is beginning to crack. On the only TV channel they watch for news, three of Fox's top spokesmen have now come out and joined the 60% of America who want investigated, and/or gone.

You deplorables need to stand by your man, even if he thinks you're all stupid and useless ...

Reality.

I think the loss of Fox is a tipping point. When you google "shepard smith lies" you get page after page of results on just that one story and a bunch of them are right-wing media. The end of the beginning, maybe?

When you google "krauthammer trump" and page down, the words "hopeless disaster" practically jump off the page.

On the other hand, there is this:

With progress stalled on the GOP’s policy priorities, frustration is rising on Capitol Hill. But the White House isn’t taking the bulk of the blame.

The House is mad at the Senate. The Senate is mad at the House. Various factions in the House and Senate are mad at each other or mad at their leaders.

Republican lawmakers have yet to turn on President Trump in any meaningful way. But they’re starting to turn on each other.

Congress is out all of August so I wonder what's going to happen when they go home for summer.

Maybe this?

I think every politician should be held to a higher standard and investigated to the fullest if warranted.

See how that works? I highly doubt it.

It'll be a while before they really lose FOX. FOX is dissenting just enough to try to maintain some sense of credibility. Trump is such a disaster that they're going to get laughed off the planet if they don't at least acknowledge some of it.

But if they do lose FOX, the GOP is in real trouble. That party, as much as any in history, has turned into something that runs almost entirely on propaganda. They haven't actually done anything helpful in years -- they've just filled a lot of not-terribly-bright people with cultish bullshit about Democrats being out to get them. If that brainwashing slips, they're going to be in trouble.

We can already see it with the increased popularity of the ACA. Republicans mostly hated it because it came from Obama and they hate everything about Obama... mostly for no reason other than he's on "the other team" and they've been trained to. Which is they same reason they now cheerlead Trump even when he does things ten times worse than anything Obama did. Remember all the endless complaining about Obama playing golf? Trump does it waaaaaay more, and you don't hear a peep about it. In fact, I heard some Republican voter on TV the other night claiming "Trump is the hardest-working president I've ever seen!" That, my friends, is brainwashing. And if the conservative propaganda outlets let up on it, it may start to slip some. But, it's pretty deeply ingrained at this point. It may take a generation to let that propaganda brainwashing die out.

Trump is the hardest-working president I've ever seen!"

I am hearing this doublespeak from average people. CNN went to New England to towns which went for Trump. More than one of them used these words. The propaganda machine is still alive and well as one guy working on his cars flat out stated that the whole Russian collusion was fake news. If President Trump was working hard, he would understand legislative issues. He does not.

Yep, that sounds like the same guy I saw. He was in the tank, bad! Very deep in denial, that guy.

You should hear my brother...according to him, I have no morals because I'm spreading "fake news" about Trump. I'm not his big sister; I'm a "typical liberal" and a "hater" who has now shown my "true colors".
