The truth is that even if President Trump fired people again, the crime has been committed and the degree and depth of financial entanglement is the final stone which needs to be turned. 2 out of 3 people do not approve of President Trump. I will play poker with some high school friends Monday night and two of them are conceal and carry and big trump supporters. I love both of them, but they both hate black people, and one of them with a mechanical engineering degree absolutely hates people he calls dot heads. The other as a supervisor at a large chemical plant was sued as a supervisor for racial discrimination and the EEOC made a ruling in favor of the black employee. These folks are all in on what Trump is selling. They do not want foreigners coming into the country. One goes to mass every sunday and socializes with other church members, but his hate of other minorities just defies his religious tenets.
I give both of them chit, because they live in lily white suburbs of Chicago, yet they are scared of blacks, mexicans, and muslims. It is almost too funny as neither ever got in a fist fight in their life, yet I was bloodied repeatedly doing the same as a kid, yet I could not even imagine how scared I would have to be to conceal a weapon on my person, or to be afraid of people who do not look like me. These are good people. They really are moral people, but this learned hate of childhood is so hard to overcome. In the case of one, they taught their children to hate. These are college educated upper income middle class white people who STILL support President Trump. The balance of the eight poker players are independents, Republicans, and democrats, and most are appalled by President Trump. Not the haters.
I could tell a story from 40 years ago where I went to Vegas with one of the haters as couples, and he got drunked up playing golf in the sun, and then decided to play poker where a black guy was at the table....well my friend eggs this guy to start betting on the turn and river card as to whether it would be black or red.....My friend goes.....I get red because I would never bet on anything black.....the Black guy was cool, and my friend is of Italian heritage and he starts barking at the pit bosses who were asking them to tone it down. I was at the other end of the casino hearing all this commotion at the poker table, and my friend is barking "you do not tell an Italian in Vegas to tone it down"......when I get there, over fifty people were watching this poker game, the pit bosses were laughing, the black guy is laughing and having the time of his life, and my friend is up hundreds of dollars as he is buying drinks for everyone, and tipping obscene amounts to the wait staff, and entertaining the patrons as the staff figured out he was harmless. "We do not want anything Black".
He later wanted to go to one of those fire and ice shows at the late show so my wife and his wife who sat at the pool all day having guys buy them drinks when we get together I have three drunks who can barely walk, as my friend announces that he knows how to get us the best table.....we walk in and every table is full in the place and he announces to the guy seating us that he wants the best table and I know how to tip.....well the two tables left are all the way in the back, and people are turning around looking at who this loud drunk is as he hands the person fifty bucks for getting a good seat, and then spends the next ten minutes saying what a great table we had, when the other empty table next to us is filled, I lean over and announce.....Gee, they must have given a hundred dollar tip. Trump voters.
