Pledge Scholars are Escambia high school graduates who live in the Pensacola city limits. Candidates need two recommendations and must write a 500-word essay on what being a Pensacolian means to them.

LOL Good Luck......... I doubt if very many
Escambia High Students live in the City Limits.

I think the winning topic should be " Where is Pensacola?"

You mention two different qualifications, Georgie Boy. One is for GRADUATES of Escambia High School that live in the city, and the other is for Escambia High School STUDENTS. I don't know where the boundaries are located for school districts, but I don't think there are many and there may be NO EHS students living in Pensacola.

People tend to live in areas that are familiar to them and I suspect that most EHS students settled on the West side, way outside of the city limits.

Good point. I stand corrected. Rita a EHS grad so maybe she can qualify...... Damn I just remembered She doesn't live in the city anymore.....oh well. I think the PNJ meant Escambia Country High School Grads..........Now if she had said Elementary school grads....................

Correct Mr Lurch. Just having a bit of fun on their sloppy reporting. I would guess Ms Shannon Nickinson doesn't know that much about Pensacola, no matter what she claims.
