dumpcare

No pediatric was not covered and most people didn't want to put that on their plans and after the first year most took it off but had to lie that they had a dental plan to cover their kids.

In your tax return it asks if you have health insurance, you answer yes. May or may not have to prove it if you didn't get a subsidy. What it boils down to if you had a kid under 19 on the plan and you didn't have pediatric dental you did not have compliant coverage and were subject to penalty, but it only asked if you had health coverage not the pediatric dental. Don't know if anyone got fined.

Shep Smith nails Trumpcare fail: GOP’s been ‘screaming’ about this for 7 years and can’t get it done

Fox News host Shep Smith on Friday torched the Republican party’s failure to pass the American Healthcare Act, noting the GOP has been “screaming” about repealing and replacing Obamacare for seven years and still could not come up with a solution.

Midway through Smith’s broadcast on Friday, Republican leaders announced they were pulling the scheduled vote on the AHCA. This decision came after Donald Trump and members of his administration ascended on Capitol Hill on Thursday to urge Republican leaders to pass the bill. In the end, moderate conservatives and members of the ultra-conservative House Freedom Caucus were unable to get on board with the AHCA.

“The new Republican version is dead,” Smith said after the announcement was made.

“Republicans voted to repeal Obamacare more than 50 times when they didn’t have a president in the White House who would ever sign it. And now that they have a president in the White House who will sign it, they can’t get the one thing they’ve been screaming about for seven years done.”

“This is an obvious indication that it’s much easier to be the ‘no’ vote than it is to govern.”

Republicans clamoring for Obamacare repeal for 7 years and then giving it one shot and saying "We've done all we can" is hysterically funny.

The senate can pull off a repeal and replace... but it won't be an Obamacaid lite version like Ryan tried.

Imagine the shreaking then. Y'all would be wishing the house bill passed... lol.

You've indicated any new attempt at a bill would be "worse" in liberal eyes because it would be designed to appeal more to the far right conservatives. How is that going to work, I ask you, when any such moves to the right may gain those votes but then likely lose significant moderate Republican votes? This was the entire problem with the bill that just failed to reach a vote at all. Makes no sense.

Because a legitimate repeal and replace is what even the moderate pubs have promised.
