Explosion: 'It's like a fallout zone

Excerpts:
The Cantonment Digester Incident Unified Command hasn’t responded to requests from the Pensacola News Journal to outline the exact area impacted, nor the process for securing accommodation or remediation help.
Many of the residents echoed the same statement: They don’t blame the mill for the accident, but they are concerned about a lack of forthcoming information on environmental impact and health concerns.
It should be a scandal at the state and federal levels. No one appears to care very much for the residents surrounding the plant and the environmental damage is not being talked about. OSHA and EPA should be all over this; but maybe not under the Trump administration.
That mill is significantly damaged. This may be the final nail in the mill's coffin. It has been laced with controversy for decades, and the cost to reopen it may be too much for IP to bear. I do hope that IP gets hit with numerous lawsuits from the affected citizens, and that government agencies which were slow or reluctant to act are named as defendants. IP deserves everything it gets hit with on this incident.
