Others have reported said that Highway 29 in front of the International Paper Mill has a slippery substance on the road causing cars to spin out.
Our team is in communication with Escambia County. They have multiple crews on the scene.

I wish we could upload .pdfs. The black liquor blew as far as 10 miles from the paper factory.  It is a highly corrosive substance that is hazardous to ingest, get on your skin, and inhale. Bad stuff.

And all the while, IP was saying it was not hazardous!

I am truly surprised that the explosion did not injure workers at the plant.

IP is trying to cover its tracks, for sure. They deserve intense scrutiny from regulators and a huge fine for contaminating a wide area with this junk.
