I think the only thing that made people want to vote FOR Trump was that they thought he would "shake things up". They were so dissatisfied with the do-nothing congress that it led them to vote for him. In many ways even his "style" tends to attract the Tea Party types who unfortunately don't recognize the fact that it has largely been Tea Party resistance to progress that has created the deadlock they are now frustrated with...so they vote in yet another extreme (or is he) person to shake up the system.Floridatexan wrote:

I think they would react to the idea shown in the video by saying Trump doesn't agree with those groups and that he has no control over who supports him. They would basically give him a pass because they have one thing in mind, to shake up the system and they don't care how that gets done. They don't care now but when it all comes apart they may well find themselves bucking the guy and his plans.

MOST AMUSING! LOL!
In your opinion, the reason Hillary Clinton was TROUNCED is that voters were dissatisfied...WITH CONGRESS. GOT IT! LOL!
Why don't you simply admit that you had a deeply flawed candidate that had no clue why she was running other than she was a woman and deserved to be president?
Perhaps, in the future, if Progressives and Democrats are honest with themselves, and accept why they were TROUNCED by Republicans, all the way down the ticket, they'll begin to attact American voters.

They are life long Republicans where their family income in retirement is over 200k and they are disgusted what they have seen in Trumps appointments. My brother in law is a big conservative outdoors guy who really gives a chit about the environment, and had gone after a farmer who was spraying his fields from a plane and sprayed him and some other people in boats on the river while watching an eagle's nest. He told me today that the guy who was appointed EPA was going to get rid of some of the agricultural epa regulations and has been an advocate for the same. I have never seen two seventy something Republicans so pissed off. After they retired they really got into bird watching, kayaking, and hiking and like Teddy Roosevelt they believe Republicans should conserve our natural resources. He is not even in office and people who voted for him are not happy. The only folks I have seen who are happy are high income folks who were worried about taxes and the racist who think Blacks, Mexicans, and Muslims need to go. It will be interesting the next 180 days.

They were trounced for the very reason othershoe stated. I know several that voted for Trump that cringe damn near at everything he has stated thus far. We shall see how this all plays out, hoping for the best, but my brain tells me it won't be pretty.
